The Education Justice Lab (EJL) is a program aimed at backing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth to address school exclusion utilising Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) and Indigenist methodologies. It positions Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth as leaders to explore the root causes, impacts, and solutions to school exclusion, emphasising Indigenous ways of knowing and lived experiences.

‘We’re extremely grateful to be awarded a Major Grant that will allow us to deepen our work on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander school exclusion. Through this grant, we aim to back the voices and experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners who being disproportionately excluded from school, while co-designing tangible actions that be taken towards a future free from exclusion.’
