Leanne Coombe

Program Manager – Research and Knowledge Translation

Leanne has over 20 years of experience in public health throughout Australia and internationally as a health practitioner, executive manager in both the Australian Government and Aboriginal community controlled health sector, international public health consultant, and public health academic. Leanne co-chairs the World Federation of Public Health Associations’ Professional Education and Training Working Group and is a Technical Advisor to the World Health Organization for the Public Health and Emergency Preparedness Workforce Roadmap. Leanne has both Master and Doctorate degrees in Public Health and postgraduate qualifications in Public Relations. Leanne holds an Honorary Associate Professor position at the University of Queensland where she was awarded two prestigious national university teaching awards.
