Knowledge Translation roundtable: Ethics in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research
Following the publication of our Ethics in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research discussion paper, Lowitja Institute hosted a virtual Knowledge Translation roundtable, on 12 June 2024, in which Associate Professor Michelle Kennedy presented her key findings and recommendations, followed by a panel discussion with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander research ethics leaders from across the country.
Associate Professor Kennedy, Abby-Rose Cox (Kija woman, Evaluation and Research Manager at Kimberley Aboriginal Health Research Alliance), and Dr Summer May Finlay (Yorta Yorta woman, Senior Lecturer at University of Wollongong and Co-Chair of the AH&MRC Human Research Ethics Committee) yarned about their experiences of developing and implementing ethical research guidelines and principles in their respective regions.
